Chauddachuli Community

Chauddachuli, based in the Purba Medinipur District of West Bengal, India, was the base site of our pilot workshop in 2021. Many community members volunteered to share their experiences and attitudes towards education and learning. Through collaboration and conversations with parents, teachers, and high-school students, we were able to get a broader understanding of critical issues in the community. Without their insight, guidance, and support, we would not have been able to tailor our frameworks to best fit the needs of the community.

We additionally collaborated with two local schools in 14-c for our workshop. Holudbari highschool, over 100 years old, is the local government-funded high school. We worked together with the headmaster, Kiriti Mondal, and Animesh Das, the headmaster of Vidyasagar nursery, a privately funded primary school in the locality.
